Beachy Day

One fine Tuesday,

Jaz felt like soaking her feet in the salty water.

And off to the beach she went.

It was nice to see the wide horizon,

along with blue clouded skies & faraway ships.

It's been quite awhile since she last saw the sun,

setting along the orangy coastline.

Everything felt dreamy that day.

Kids playing water, couples soaking in the sea,

& not forgetting the 2 silly guys, who stood by the shore,

waiting patiently for some miserable waves to come,

before dashing forward for some thrilled surfing. Haha.

However, that was not all.

Jaz had her 2nd(???) attempt at cycling!

Yea, yea, Jaz doesn't know how to ride a bicycle.

Balancing is jus not her thing.

Nonetheless, she giggled like a little girl behind him,

as he swept her away with a bicycle fanstasy.

Racing against the wind,

watching the sceneries swift by,

overtaking joggers & panting dogs,

and listening to troops of young marching army guys singing.

As night fell, they cycled pass this group of stray cats.

They U-turned for some cats-viewing.

Slowly, more & more cats appeared.

Maybe they thought Jaz was going to adopt them,

hence they were all licking & grooming themselves

on that patch of grass...

Nah, that was juz Jaz's own wishful thinking.

They most probably see her as food-giver! Haha...

Anyway, Jaz said she saw at least 14 of them!

How she wish she could juz grab one or two home.

They are quite skinny little fellows you know.

But given her current situation,

it's a commitment she can't afford.

*shrugs*

However, Jaz promised she will make an effort

to bring some cat food the next time she goes there.

So...
after two lovely hours,
after the sunset,
they ate at the waffle shop.
Perhaps it's been a decade since she last had one,
the pippin' hot belgium buttermilk waffle,
soaked in rich butter & drippin' maple syrup,
topped with scoop of white creamy vanilla ice cream,
tasted so HEAVENLY!

Well, it was a great way to celebrate their anniversary day!

Jaz thanked her guy for making her such a happy gal!

Guess he rode really hard,

cuz' he suffered from some leg-ache the day after.

Heee.... :X

But then, Jaz did tried her best too!

Twice she asked him to put up his legs,

so she could sweat it out like how she cycled in the gym.

But manz, he's heavy :P

Jaz swears she's going to have another day like this again!

Charlotte

Charlotte
Layers of almond sponge with Kirsch syrup
and strawberry & raspberry pureed mousse
are surrounded by lady finger sponges
and topped with strawberries.

Kelvin looked in disgust as
Jaz happily gobbled up slightly more than a quarter of Charlotte.

"Dun you find it very sour??"

"Uh-uh"

"How can you eat tis?!"

"MMmmm...."

Kelvin & Jaz are on opposite ends.

He can't eat the western-kinda-sour like strawberries or yogurt,

but he can take eastern-kinda-sour like sour plums & raw lime!

BUT he bought Charlotte from Bakerzin for her birthday.
However, Jaz is a very selfish being.

She kept the cake for herself & refused to share with her family.
You can check with her sisters :P

They had the Tea Rose from Breadtalk!

Which wasn't so bad...

'cept they wouldn't eat the dried rose petals sticking on it

Ahahaha....
& YES! Charlotte is really as good as she looks!
YUM!

Not that she's a glutton...

She only ate slightly more than a quarter for supper yesterday

& slightly more than half for lunch & dinner juz now.

So now, she's left with slightly less than quarter of it.

Maybe supper later or breakfast tomorrow.

Envy?

Twenty Five Years

Assuming Jaz can live until 100 years old...
she has already spent one quarter of her life at this point of time.

One quarter life ago, 李爸妈 gave life to Jaz.
Jaz is sincerely grateful for everything
& anything she receives up to now.
The good, the bad, the neutral.

There's nothing much to comment about life.
After all, it's works like recycle bins.
Eat. Sleep. Play.
Study. Work.
Get attached. Get married. Have kids.
People come, people go.
People live, people die.
The world doesn't change for you.
It carries on.

For Jaz,
She would like to announce to the world:
She's not the famous kind.
The kind that wans everyone to know her.
She's not the noble kind.
The kind that will save the world or bring peace.
She's not the ambitious kind.
The kind that will find a stable job & earn lots money.
& she's definitely not the marrying kind.
The kind that will set up a family & have kids, educating the next generation.

Jaz is just a kid.
She juz wan to live a simple quality life.
She doesn't have the ability to do anything like above.

Counting the days ahead...
It's a matter of time before she has to take care of her aging parents.
& she'll most probably be spending a quarter of life on that.
Then another quarter life on finding a suitable place to settle down,
& spend the last quarter of her life.

But of course, most duno when is their last day.
So while you're still alive, you should have a plan to follow.
& ya. Jaz guessed that's most probably hers.

And before the 3rd quarter of her life is going to arrive,
Jaz thinks she should spend her 2nd quarter wisely & quickly.
To do something different while she can afford to.
However she doesn't have a goal for her 2nd quart.
And perhaps that is why she has been living as
a wonderful 'handywoman' for everyone around her,
as she ends her 1st quart aimless.
Fact is, Jaz has been searching for a goal for a long time.
天大地大， 该从哪下手?
Everything is possible but where does her path lies?

Jaz has been living quite an empty life.
She doesn't have the passion of those
who know what they wanna do in life.
She simply doesn't know what she should pursue.
(Oh, in case you duno, Jaz's a procrastinator.
She's too serious about life. LOL.)
& that's why she hasn't achieve anything till now.

Not that Jaz is very experienced with life...
She simply just able to see the skeleton of life.
You know...看破红尘 sort of thing.
But of course, she just sees, she doesn't know how to handle yet.

And weeks ago, she chanced upon something.
Something that might just take her away from where she is now.
NOW
A country, a culture, a place, an environment,
where her family, bf & friends are...
It's an opportunity to try something different...
Experience something foreign...
A chance to be independent,
without the things that she has been holding close to,
for the past 25 years.

Jaz admits she's afraid to make that bold move.
She's not sure whether that's what she wants to do.
She only knows it's where her peace of mind MIGHT be
& that she can solely get in depth
into something for a fix period of time...
without hinderance from the NOW.
Nonetheless, she's timid.
She's too used to her old safety net.
She can't bear to let go.
& not to mention,
She's not financially stable for it.

It is not easy.
Really not easy...
For a kid.

Oh mighty!
Please give her some hints!
Please shed some light on her life!
Please give her courage!
Please.

The Busy Bumble Bee

If you are very close to Jaz, you'll know she's always busy as a bee.

For example, just a Friday like today, she achieved the following:

1. In the morning - took IC photos of her mom in the living room & bedroom..trying all sort of methods to remove the shadow casted by her hair
2. Charged her emptied camera batteries
3. Go NTUC
4. Had a cheapo lunch with parents & friend[ 4 persons sharing 3 bowls of porridge & ONE plate of food(in diff variety; small portions) at the cost of S$3!]
5. Laptop-sourcing with parents & friend at Plaza Singapura(almost bought a worthy laptop, however only display sets are left)
6. Make sure the buyer meets up with her bf & complete the transaction smoothly
7. Spent about an hour at Mos burger, due to an error made by her sis :P
8. Badminton with her sisters 4 - 6pm
9. Buy 'Concorde' cake(rich, flaky, moist chocolate) from Sweet Secrets, together with her sisters; order from mom
10. Dinner with her bf
11. Told bf she wanted the strawberry pillow they saw at Minitoons
12. Got home & bath
13. Majong session with her mom & aunties; her bf played the first few rounds while she played with cute little Lis
14. Took a short half an hour nap before taking over her bf's seat(he's leaving for work). Sleeping on the bed next to her grandma... too tired to even notice there wasn't any fan or wind in the room. Best
15. Celebrated her parents' engagement anniversary 5 mintues before 12 midnite. Cake was YUMMMMY!
16. Helped Dad transferred voice recordings from his mp3 player(he attended a class earlier)
17. Helped Dad replied email to her 表姐 regarding their 4 Days Hongkong 5 Days Korea tour, where she's not part of it
18. Replied auction question; a potential buyer lah. hehehe
19. Smsed Weiqiang about Sat's BBQ, waiting venue & time
20. Converted Dad's class recordings into mp3
21. Feed her hamster
22. Brewed & still is drinking pu'er tea
23. Blogging

WOW...eventful huh?

About 5 minutes into badminton, she's already tired. It's amazing she could play for 40mins straight & rest about 20mins & continue another 45mins. It's been sooooooooooooo long since she last touched the racket. In fact, Jaz doesn't have strong arms. Never have & may never will. Not to mentioned, SOMEONE said the session was from 2-4pm. She rushed all the way from Plaza Singapure to Bishan to find out that it was actually 4-6pm.

How wonderful~
A chance to drink Mos Burger's iced milk tea.

Jaz could almost doze off just now when she reached her bed after the majong session. But she couldn't do that! Cuz she had to brush her teeth, feed her hamster, sms Weiqiang about tomorrow, etc etc... all the tasks listed above.

Bees are tough huh?

Time to rest le.
Another long day to go tomorrow
ZzzZzzZzz....

Her hamster is awake now & actively running the wheel.
But then, she's going to sleep like how he sleeps in the day now.

New Mobile!

Today

Jaz is in a good mood
:P

She renewed her Singtel contract
& bought Sony Ericsson w810i white color!

Top up $318 >> get the phone + free speakers-cum-charger
(valued at $168).

Super worthy!

Here's how it looks like...

It's a 2-in-1 package.

When you open the boxes, you'll find the internal are black! Cool~!

On close up, you'll feel that w810i is a gem!
Ahaha...

Open up the hp box, you'll see more black boxes -
which contains the cds, cables & earphones, etc.

Pretty neat.

Put it on the speakers!
FYI, the speakers-cum-charger is portable.
Can be operated by 4 AA batteries or electricity!
WOW~!

The side view, not a clear one but you can see
the volume controls on the top right.
One good thing about this phone is that..
on start up, it asks whether you want to activate the phone for use
or use it solely as a music player!
So if you have no use for phone on occassions
like during flight or hospital visits, you can switch it to mp3 player!
Though Jaz isn't an air stewardress or works in the hospital,
she thinks it's a cool function!
In short, even if your phone's functions spoils,
it is still useful in another way!

The earpiece looks like white color
but it's not as white as the phone itself.
Not a problem... cuz' the good thing is...
Jaz can use other types of earphones if she doesn't like SE's!

Jaz actually pondered a long time, whether to get this phone.
Cuz' it'll be like a downgrade from her N70. Ya, this phone is not 3G.

However,
this mobile is in fact, everything she wanted
EXCEPT that the video recording format is extremely lousy,
compared to N70.

Come to think of it...
Thanks to Sihui for emailing the 10secs clip that night!
(to convince Jaz into buying the mobile)
Jaz deeply appreciated the effort,
even though disappointed with the quality.
Haha..

But well... there's nothing perfect in the world.
Jaz accepted this fact.

Jaz has been wanting to blog this for a few days.

Assuming A, B, C are girls. So when...

A+B= Not much conflict; just generation gap

B+C= Not much conflict either, with generation gap

A+C= No generation gap, can get along well but certain issues will ignite conflicts

Say... which is Jaz? & Why?



That apart, Jaz feels like she's an escapist these days. She wakes up late in the afternoon. She sleeps 'early' in the morning. She didn't go for this month's watercolor painting class. She has just given up the chance to go on a 3 Days HK + 5 Days Japan trip. It's not easy to reject but she did it. The pressure within her has sparkle off such a strength. She feels kinda depressed :( She dun feel like doing anything but sit there & sulk in the deep dark corner. Jaz knows why she is depressed but dun feel like explaining. Period.

Jaz's Long Hair

She juz had a haircut in the early evening. Went together with her neighbour. She feels neater now, afterall, she never cut / trim her hair since 10th december 2005. Why she remembers so clearly? Cuz' that day she attended Mayday's concert. Ahahaha... & she dyed red highlights with dark purple base. Not really all for Mayday, Jaz herself likes the color red too. But on certain things. Like... cherries, red shoes, small red car :P

Now back to hair. Apart from being neater, she sort of surrenders to fate - why her haircut can never look that trendy.. it's always layer & layer... Maybe cuz' her face is big & she has a hair shape of 'M' *shrugs* Or maybe it's the kind of hairstylists she encountered? Never mind, she wants to save up for future planning. So...no hair dye for the time being.

O'rite. It's getting earlier... ZZzzzZzzzZzz
